About the Book
Frequent climate change induced disasters have been affecting the lives of millions of people that threaten to hinder the progress achieved so far. They have risen over recent decades, and more extreme weather conditions in future are likely to increase the number and scale of disasters. Improving climate resilience will allow us in assessing the changes in climate and their risks and provide powerful capacities for substantially reducing risks and adapting to climate change.

Mrs. N.S. Srinidhi completed her Post Graduation in Environmental Science from the Osmania University, Hyderabad. She ranked second in her M.Sc Examination at the University level. She has more than three years of teaching experience as an Assistant Professor at Vidya Jyothi Institute of Science and Technology. She also has a work experience of three years in an environmental NGO (Council for Green Revolution) and an Educational NGO (Vanguards) based in Hyderabad. Presently she is pursuing her Ph.D from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. She was awarded with UGC - JRF (RGNF) for the period of 2017 to 2019. She has also qualified UGC - NET (January 2017) and TS SET (June - 2017). She has published more than 11 national and international articles. She also received second prize as Young Scientist Award by the Utkal University, Orissa. She has presented and participated in various national and international conference, training and workshop. She is also trained in Remote-sensing and GIS and has a good knowledge on QGIS and ArcGIS.

Working as Assistant Professor of Zoology, Nizam College, Osmania University. She has 20 years of teaching experience in both under graduate and post graduate level. Her areas of interest are Endocrinology, Entomology, Environment and Palliative Care. Founder member of Pain and Palliative Care Society(PRPCS), Hyderabad and Executive member of CGR - Council for Green Revolution and GRACE Greens Alliance for Conservation of Eastern Ghats, Member, Institutional Ethical committee, MNJIO & RCC (Mehdi Nawaz Jung Institute of Oncology and Regional Cancer Center), Hyderabad. Contributed to a qualitative survey of Unbearable Pain: India Obligation to Ensure Palliative Care, A Human Rights Watch India report. She has contributed to survey and release of book titled Eastern Ghats Environment Outlook published by CGR, contributed to a qualitative survey of Predictors and prevalence of pain and its management in four regional cancer hospitals in India in association with Human Rights Watch, New York, contributed to the study APPROACH cross-sectional survey in Hyderabad on Health-related quality of life and its socio-economic and cultural predictors among advanced cancer patients in collaboration with Lien Centre for Palliative Care, Duke-NUS Medical School, Singapore. She has also Published Community Volunteers Hand book on Palliative Care in Telugu.o BN Sastry award for best work in the community, BN Sastry foundation, 2013
